The second evening of Prins Alexander PleinBIOSis dedicated to stories that transcend generations. Stories about dreams and perseverance, identity and community, and the invisible threads that connect people, music and culture. Stories that are not only told, but passed on—from the streets to the square, from parent to child, from island to the world.
The evening opens with Kaya Ta Nos Arena, a powerful film from Curaçao about dreams, loyalty and the search for a future of your own. We follow ten-year-old Chikí, who dreams of becoming a professional football player while trying to find his way through a world full of challenges at home and on the streets. In the harsh reality of illegal street football, he faces a difficult choice: remain loyal to those around him, or dare to choose his own future? Now that Curaçao has qualified for the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cupas the smallest nation ever to do so, the story gains an even greater sense of relevance.
